Reflect on the following questions.
Process Questions:

1. How do you describe the elements of communication?

I would describe the elements of communication that they are all related, and it is impossible to have a situation where all elements are missing. It is like traveling to another destination from one destination. First, by encoding it and sending it through a medium (channel), which can be by writing, speaking, and more, the speaker can attempt to express his/her message. This is like coming from your house and you are on the way to your destination right now. Once you get there, the receiver will decode the message and give feedback to the sender, as it will tell the sender that they have communicated clearly. 

2. Can the process of communication be completed even without the presence of a single element of communication? Why or why not?

For me, I do not agree with it. Only if the essential elements of communication are present will the communication process happen. For instance, if there is no speaker or receiver present, then there will be no communication developed as there is no one to convey or receive the message. It is like if you do not have the presence of a single element, then there would be no communication forming in the first place. 

3. Cite at least one communication situation and identify the elements in the presented situation.

My mother was talking to her friend on the phone. She told her that she was going to visit her as soon as she finishes her work. Unfortunately, the noise of our dogs and cars passing by made it difficult for her friend to understand. As their call was going to end, she just said yes.
Speaker: My mother is the sender/speaker.
Message: She was telling her friend that she will visit her soon.
Channel: She was speaking through the phone.
Receiver: It was my mom’s friend.
Context: They were talking on the phone.
Barriers: It was the noisy dogs and cars passing by that made their communication a bit difficult to understand.
Feedback: My mom’s friend just said “yes”.
