Casual - When my father converses with his friends about the political issues happening in the Philippines. 3. Frozen - At dinner, our family had a quick prayer to bless the food before eating. 4. WEEK 2-3 - Activity 1

 You were not able to prepare for your graded report in Oral Communication. Mr. Reyes, then calls you to go to the front and start your presentation. How are you going to explain your situation yo your teacher?     In this situation, the first thing I would do is to admit that I was not able to prepare for the presentation and explain why. After I finish explaining to Mr. Reyes the reason why I was unprepared, I would then gladly accept the mistake I made and face all the consequences that will come with it. Once I've come to terms with my mistake, I would then apologize to Mr. Reyes for the mishap I have caused. Then, I would ask him if I can redo, the presentation, and do anything to get the grade, if I were given the chance. Discussion question 2 Can you recall an experience in your life where you experienced communication breakdown? What happened and why did the breakdown occur? (answer in not less than 5 sentences). Back when I lived in the United States of America, I had experienced a lot of communication breakdowns, especially in school. During the first months, I was shy and lacked the confidence in talking to my classmates, so the breakdown of communication was caused by psychological barriers. I also experienced cultural barriers back then as I wasn't used to the American culture and it was different from our culture, such as calling someone "ate" or "kuya" to those who are older than you, and the different holidays we celebrate there versus here in the Philippines.
