Discussion question 1

As a senior high school student, what do you think is the advantage of having good communication skills in a variety of contexts? Do you think it will help you improve your personality? Why or Why not?

As a senior high school student pursuing STEM, I can say that having good communication skills help me get through the challenges we face in conducting research for the school. These skills help me form connections with experts in order for us to conduct a good research paper. It also help me ease through our research defense and talking in front of crowds. With it, I am able to somehow reduce my fear of public speaking by also helping me in other subjects, like whenever we do reporting in class. For me, it is also an advantage to have good communication skills as I am nearing college. It willl help me socialize with bigger crowds, and improve my skills as a student, and help me get a job in the future.
