Week 4 - Activity 1

MY REFLECTION

Based on the topic, I have learned that mini-survey may help me in:

I learned that conducting the mini-survey helped me to learn and understand more about the relationships of Filipinos, in a micro perspective. I was able to look at the similarities and differences of different Filipino relationships with in terms of family, community, school, and other agencies. For example, in conducting the survey, we can find out how the children in strict Filipino households interact with their parents as opposed to those children who grew up in an easygoing household. Conducting a mini-survey in an academic perspective, it can help us design the rest of our design paper, assess the feasibility of a project, get advice and reactions from beneficiaries, and evaluate projects. Conducting a mini-survey instead of a real survey is just as effective, but with only fifteen to thirty questions given to a small sample of twenty-five to seventy people, and which it only carefully focuses on a specific topic.

I can do mini-survey by:

There is a series of  steps in conducting a mini-survey, which are the following: clarify your objectives, find out what else has been done, choose your respondents, and develop the questions. First, we must clarify our objectives so that we may assess what data we want to get from the mini-survey. Next, we must find out what else is done, since there are already-made survey questions and past conducted surveys that can help us find out which ideas can work while gaining much needed information. Then, you must choose your respondents in which you must decide between going to ask your questions on the entire group or use sampling.  Lastly, you can now develop your questions after gathering enough information on how you should conduct your mini-survey, and knowing which respondents should be given the survey to.
